Amethyst: Superhero of Crystals

Amethyst: Superhero Crystal of Woo

Riddle me this! Whatd’ya get when Mother Earth combines iron with quartz?

Holy hugger-mugger batman, what’s that purple stone?

Well, I’m not batman, but the purple stone in question is, wait for it…Amethyst!

A couple blog posts back, I chatted about why Quartz crystal is Queen on the Scene. I followed that up with the charms of Rose Quartz. And this week, it’s all about Amethyst!

Amethyst wasn’t the first crystal that winked at me, but it was the first one to schmooze my moods and emotions (MOMOs). It had me at purple, with its high, cosmic vibery and metaphysical bubble of light it shines on all those who enter its energy field.

It’s full of Purplicious vibey goodness!

But beyond its sparkly wink-factor, what is it about Amethyst that’s so enchanting? It has trace amounts of iron. Is it the iron, the mineral that helps our body move oxygen in the blood, that calls to the body’s energy field? Whether it’s the iron, the quartz, the crystalline structure, or the color frequency, Amethyst packs a punch of purplicious woo! If I was the fanciful sort, and of course I so am, I would envision Amethyst as a crystal superhero, shining a purple bubble of light. Purple Power to the rescue!

Let’s unpack some of the purpliciousness, aka metaphysical properties, of this action-packed crystal:

It’s spiritually enhancing, making it great for meditation and giving an emotional-assist when monkey-mind thoughts pop in. Amethyst helps keep thoughts elevated so they don’t get stuck and weigh down meditation time. In other words, it helps woo the mind into a meditative state.

It has calming energy, making it a great choice for wooing energy in bedrooms and healing spaces to a calmer vibe.

It’s spiritually protective, which makes it great for protecting personal vibes from negative energies or energies one doesn’t wanta mingle with. If there’s an energy vampire nearby sucking out positive vibes, amethyst woos the day.

It resonates with both the third eye and crown chakras. This is helpful for enhancing intuitive muscles.

It boosts willpower, adding some powerful woo to kick bad habits.

It balances the mind and thoughts. It’s great for wooing the MOMOs to a better place and is favored by healers, psychologists, and teachers.

That’s not all the action found when working with Amethyst, but it’s a start. Until next time…I’ll wind this up with words of hope and a quote from Bruce Wayne, who said “It’s not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me.”

Well, like Batman, whatever the source of Amethyst’s power, its chemical properties or sacred crystalline structure, it’s the vibey woo that makes it a superhero of crystals, helping you do the things you do.

Bright Blessings,

Jewel Daisy
