Let Love and Hope Spring Eternal
Let Love and Hope Spring Eternal
The numerals 3+4=7. Simple math, simple answer. There’s no depends; there’s no if-ands-or-buts; it’s an all or nothing kind of thing. There is only one right answer. But through life’s days and seasons, right answers can change as quickly as the weather in springtime. Because unless you’re a Diving Bell Spider, you don’t live in a bubble. Living outside a bubble means lots of questions, a multitude of mistakes, doors closing and opening, and oodles of messy choices. I often hear, it’s about the journey, not the destination. And that feels right, yet having a destination in mind is like planting seeds in springtime—I don’t know exactly how the seeds will grow and I don’t know exactly when or if things will sprout, but the hope of seeing buds bloom from what I planted, is a destination that leads me on a joyful journey.
This year’s spring equinox is tilting closer to us hour by hour. And Spring’s energy infuses in me, a hopeful spirit for a colorful garden of new beginnings filled with love and hope to be nurtured through the season. I don’t need things to add up to simple answers, and I don’t feel I need to stay on a path to a single destination. Aside from the fact my math skills add up to zero, I do need my journey to add up to a destination where love and hope spring eternal.
Bright blessings,
Jewel Daisy
